Help those in need

Brakpan Police have called on the community to donate shoes to their “No Cold Feet” project.

With assistance from the public, the local police station aims to donate as many pairs of shoes as possible to those who cannot afford them.

“Last year’s No Cold Feet project was a success and we urge the community to help to make it a success again this year,” said Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander.

Donations of any new or used shoes in all sizes will be welcome.

Police have politely requested that used shoes must be in a good and clean condition.

Donations of baby booties and children’s shoes will also be gratefully received.

“A pair of shoes can make a big difference to someone who does not own any,” said Joubert.

Shoes can be dropped off at the police station, which is situated at 122 Gardiner Avenue.

Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, June 30.

For more information contact Joubert on 011 744 4940.
