Missing post box receives stamp of disapproval

Vanessa Moore writes by e-mail: I went to open my gate recently (Saturday, April 25), only to discover that someone has stolen my post box.

It might seem like a feeble complaint, but the theft of anything still hits home.

What really grates me is that the barrel shaped post box was actually broken out, so now it has no bottom – a complete waste.

I would just like to say something to the lucky recipient of a now bottomless post box: “Karma is something I believe in.”

I will now have to use a less attractive replacement as it will be a waste to purchase another.

I feel the person must live within Brenthurst as it cannot be easy hiding a post box under your arm without attracting attention.

To my neighbours, I say: “Be vigilant, as this may not be a once off.”

We all spend money and time making our properties look appealing.

Pity not everyone shares this sentiment.
