DA praises Brakpan SPCA
Brakpan DA ward councilor Shauné le Roux recently paid a courtesy visit to the Brakpan SPCA.
Le Roux said she was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities, as well as the professional and friendly manner in which the staff welcomed her during the visit last week.
“I was pleasantly surprised at the well-kept facility given the fact that as a non-profit organisation, the survival of the Brakpan SPCA depends exclusively on donations. It is reliant on the generosity and the goodwill of the public and businesses,” said Le Roux.
In order to keep the Brakpan SPCA going strong, Le Roux appealed to both businesses and members of the public to make donations in money, or in kind, to the Brakpan SPCA.
“My heartfelt thanks goes to each and every staff member of the SPCA and also those who assist behind the scenes to keep this organisation going. But a lot more can be done with our generosity,” Le Roux added.
She donated a R100 to the SPCA and has appealed to every person who cares about the welfare of animals to give what they can.
