Ekurhuleni to host anti-xenophobia dialogue

The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry,  Mzwandile Masina will deliver a keynote address during an Anti-Xenophobia dialogue to be hosted by the Ekurhuleni Metro tomorrow (Wednesday) .

In an effort to advance social cohesion among its communities, the Metro has invited various stakeholders including foreign nationals, government departments of International Relations, Justice, Home of Affairs and Trade and Industry; and civil society to engage aggressively and robustly on the issue of xenophobia.

Also expected are provincial government departments.

Ekurhuleni has been the most affected since the xenophobic attacks spread into Gauteng last Wednesday.

Already the City has established two camps in Primrose and Elsburg, respectively, which have accommodated in the region of one thousand foreign nationals.

The dialogue will take place in the Banquet Hall of the Germiston Civic Centre and will start at 10am.
