Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the Easter weekend (April 2-6):

Thursday

Three thefts from vehicles and three burglaries were reported.

The thefts out of the vehicles took place along Rangeview Street, in Dalpark, at the corner of Kitzinger and Prince George Avenues and along Springs Road.

A spare wheel, tools, a multimeter, earphones and a car jack were stolen.

A man received a phone call that his house on Stoffberg Avenue had been broken into.

Upon arrival he noticed that the robbers were still in the house.

One of the robbers ran away, but the other was caught and arrested.

A housebreaking happened along Farquhason Road where a cellphone and a laptop were stolen.

A business was broken into along Hendrik Potgieter Street and liquor, cash, a television, and cigarette packets were stolen.

Friday

A robbery and two burglaries were reported.

In Voortrekker Road, a pedestrian was approached by three robbers at 7.15pm; they stole his bag, containing an external hard drive, cash and cellphone.

A housebreaking occurred in Hamilton Street, where food from the fridge, cellphones and a hair clipper were stolen.

In Kitzinger Avenue a business was broken into.

Cigarette packets, cash, snuff, a stove, 50 roll-ons and other household items were stolen.

Saturday

At the corner of Cavendish and Kingsway Avenues a house was broken into and a television set was stolen.

Sunday

Along Elizabeth Eybers Street, Dalpark, a vehicle was stolen.
