Weekend crime round-up
According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (March 20, 21 and 22):

Friday
Two burglaries at business premises were reported.
In Hastings Avenue, a large amount of cash was stolen from a business’s safe, and a television set, hi-fi and sewing machine were stolen from a company in Kitzinger Avenue.
Along Hospital Road, Sherwood Gardens, two house break-ins occurred.
A resident received a call from his security company during the day, informing him that the alarm was sounding.
Upon his arrival, the resident discovered that a television set had been stolen.
A vacant house along the same street was broken into and building material was stolen.
Wheels were stolen from a vehicle along Rossouw Street, Minnebron.
A blue Nissan Sentra was stolen from Oval Street, Sherwood Gardens.
Saturday
A vacant house was found to be broken into along Selbourne Avenue.
Electric cables were stolen.
A white Volkswagen Golf was stolen from Escombe Avenue and a motorcycle was stolen from along Evans Street, Brenthurst.
A man, walking along the corner of Croft and Lower roads, Minnebron, was threatened with a knife and robbed by two men, at about 7.30pm.
His cash, cards and wedding ring were stolen.
A house break-in took place along McMillan Street, Sherwood Gardens.
A television set and a radio were stolen.
Sunday
Two house break-ins were reported.
These took place at addresses along Prince George Avenue, Brenthurst, and Van Schoor Street, Sherwood Gardens.
Household appliances and a television set were stolen.
A trailer was stolen from an address at the corner of High and Voortrekker roads.
