Maintenance work to cause power outage in Brakpan North
A planned power interruption has been scheduled for next week, for the Brakpan North area.
The power supply to several streets will be interrupted from Monday, March 23, until Wednesday, March 25, between 8am and 4pm.
According to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality spokesperson Themba Gadebe, the interruption is due to the replacement of equipment on meter boxes.
Streets to be affected are:
- March 23: Toom Bend Road, Huntingdon Avenue and Ascot Street.
- March 24: Edward Wallace Avenue, Huntingdon Avenue, Saalklap Road and Chase Street.
- March 25: Sherwood Street, Perdeskoen Crescent, Ellis Street and Van Vollenhoven Street.
During this time, consumers are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive.
