April 30, 2014
A 49-year-old EMPD officer was killed when he was allegedly struck by a taxi during a traffic enforcement operation.
The accident took place along the R23 (Heidelberg Road) at about 7.30am.
July 26, 2014
A 45-year-old man was killed in an accident at the intersection of the R23 and Athlone Avenue.
The accident happened at about 10pm and involved a white Nissan bakkie and a white Ford Escort.
October 11, 2014
The body of a 38-year-old man was found at the corner of Springs and Lemmer roads.
The man was found lying at the side of the road at about 5pm and police suspect he may have been involved in an accident.
November 28, 2014
A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed following an accident at the T-junction at the corner of Springs Road and 15th Street, Sallies Village.
The accident took place at about 1pm, when the motorbike and a taxi allegedly collided.
