Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend (February 6, 7 and 8):

Friday

Three residential burglaries were reported.

Homes situated at addresses along George Avenue, Hofmeyer Street, Brenthurst, and Kiepersol Crescent, Dalpark, were broken into.

Various household goods, including television sets, jewellery, cellphones and clothing were stolen.

Steel was stolen during a break-in at a workshop along Lemmer Road, Vulcania.

Saturday

Burglars stole a handbag and laptops from homes along Wenden Avenue and Bellingham Street, Sonneveld.

Cellphones and cash were stolen from a shop along Voortrekker Road.

Sunday

A white Chevrolet bakkie, a television set, jewellery, laptops and cellphones were stolen from an address along The Cut Street, Dalview.

Three television sets and other items were stolen during a break-in at a home along Plumbago Street, Dalpark.

An attempted burglary was reported at an address along Victor Street, Brakpan North.

The property’s alarm was triggered at 9.50am and the residents rushed home to discover the front door had been forced open.

Nothing was taken from the house.
