Disabled man robbed in his home

Brakpan police are looking for three men who robbed a disabled Sunair Park man in his home, on Sunday, last week.

According to information received from Brakpan police, the man’s wife (64), had been out earlier that morning and returned to their Roywen Street home at about 11.45am.

She discovered the front door and security door open.

The man, who was found unharmed, told his wife that the robbers had covered his face with a blanket.

Jewellery, a sewing machine, a television set and a computer were stolen.

Two house robberies were also reported in Brenthurst, last week.

On Sunday, a 41-year-old Hofmeyer Street resident was confronted by three men inside his home, at about 10am.

The resident had gone to investigate a noise he heard in the dining room, when he saw three men, one of whom was armed with a gun.

When the resident shouted at the intruders, the armed man pointed the weapon at him.

The resident fled to a room, where he locked and barricaded the door with furniture.

The robbers fled the house with a television set.

Six robbers terrorised a 28-year-old Brenthurst resident and her employee on Thursday morning, last week.

The Pitt Street woman, and her gardener, were locked in separate rooms of the house by the armed robbers, who stole cellphones, liquor, nappies, a games console and a motorbike.
