13 Christmas babies welcomed to Ekurhuleni

Clr Makhosazana Mabaso of the City of Ekurhuleni welcomed 13 Christmas babies from three hospitals in Ekurhuleni.

Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Services, Clr Makhosazana Mabaso visited Natalspruit Hospital in Vosloorus, Bertha Gxowa Hospital, Germiston and Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg to welcome the Christmas babies, bringing along goodies for the bundles of joy.

Thirteen new born babies from the three hospitals received their first gifts from the City of Ekurhuleni. The gift packs included Ekurhuleni branded bathtubs, baby blankets and baby products.

Speaking to their mothers, the Clr Mabaso said, ”I wish the children good health and those who are not with their mothers to get better soon so they can be reconnected with their mothers.”

She further urged the mothers to breastfeed and take good care of their children.

The MMC will also be welcoming babies born on New Year’s Day at Pholosong Hospital, Tsakane followed by followed by Far East Rand hospital, Brakpan and Tembisa hospital.

108 babies born in Gauteng

Times LIVE reported, “Spokesman Prince Hamnca said a total of 108 babies were born in the province.”

Mamelodi Hospital and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital each delivered 14 babies, while Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and Kalafong Hospital delivered 11 each.
