Excitement mounts for Charity Mile

The excitement is mounting amongst horse racing fans and the well-known personalities and the nominated charities involved in this year’s Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile, as race day, Saturday, November 1, draws closer.

To heat matters up a little further for this unique event, which brings celebrities and horseracing together to benefit charity, the barrier draw for the race was held at the Palace of Dreams on Wednesday afternoon, last week, with some of the celebrities, Clive Maistry (front), Alfred Ntombela, Carol Tshabalala, Neil Andrews (back), Juanita Mitchell, Fiona Nay and Paul Buckby.

With the excited group of celebs after the draw are the sexy Emperors Palace girls,Tania Knoop (left) and Merelda du Plessis (right).

The Charity Mile sees 16 well-known personalities and 16 top-class race horses come together for the benefit of 16 charities, and will take place at Turffontein Racecourse.

The San Michele Home in Brakpan is one of the charities.
