The first burglary took place on Tuesday, last week.
According to reports, the officer left his home at 7am and was alerted to the break-in at about 11.40am, when he was contacted by his security company.
Burglars gained access by breaking down a door and fled with jewellery, laptops and television sets.
The second burglary took place on Saturday, and was discovered when the official returned home at about 11pm.
The back door had been forced open and a television set, DVD sound system and a cellphone were stolen.
Both incidents were reported to Brakpan police and cases of burglary have been opened.
