Be on the look-out for this bakkie

Brakpan police have urged residents to be on the lookout for a black Nissan Hardbody bakkie, with three male occupants, which has been spotted at the scene of several residential burglaries.

Most recently, the bakkie was seen at a house along Ruth Road, in Sunair Park.

An alert neighbour noticed the vehicle in the driveway of the house and saw three men in the garden — one of whom was carrying a television set.

She contacted the homeowner, who then phoned the police and arrived home to find his lapa had been broken into.

The burglars had removed the electric gate from its rails to gain access to the property, and then broken the sliding door to the lapa.

Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander, told the Herald that residents should contact police immediately if they see the vehicle.
