Maintenance work to cause power cut
In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable power supply network to consumers, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) will be conducting essential replacement work of electrical equipment at Van Eck Substation in Brakpan.
In order to make way for the work, there will be a planned power supply interruption which will affect parts of Brakpan, on Sunday May 24, from midnight until 9am.
Brakpan, Langaville and Geluksdal will be affected.
Residents are advised to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive while replacement work is being carried out.
The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused.
