Gear up for challenging MTB race

The Transvaal Galvanisers Mountain Bike Race will take place in Dalpark Extension One, at the Van Dyk Dam, opposite Carnival City, on Sunday, November 23.

The event will consist of a 50km, a 35km and a 10km route, and the first race will begin at 7.30am, regardless of weather conditions.

Registration forms can be collected between 6am and 7am on the day and there is a strict “no helmet, no ride” policy.

Proceeds of the race will go to the Muriel Brand School and the Springs Park Rotary Club’s bus project.

Non-licensed riders need to purchase a Cycling South Africa (CSA) day licence for the 50km and 35km races.

All finishers will receive medals.
