Masters gymnasts succeed at SA Games
Local gymnasts from Brakpan-based Masters Gymnastics Club, took part in the annual South African Gymnastics Games, recently.
Gymnasts from Masters Gymnastics Club qualified at the Eastern Gauteng Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships and represented the Eastern Gauteng region at the South African Championships.
These games proved to be the toughest in over a decade and the gymnasts proved to be up to the task by winning gold medals and earning the title of South African Champions.
The high performance acrobatic gymnasts will now take part in trials to represent South Africa at the next World Championships and World Age Group Games.
The gymnasts practise at the Brakpan Indoor Sport Centre and are coached by the Demianenko family.
The gymnasts are Michelle Pieterse, Carla Brits, Chanel Lategan, Bianca Erasmus, Ivan Erasmus, Ethan Strydom and Taylor Ryan.
