SAPS employee health and wellness members awarded for excellence

The two members received their awards at an event on July 5.

Brakpan SAPS interim station commander Colonel Eugene Scheepers awarded two employee health and wellness (EHW) members for achievements in service excellence on July 5.

Chaplain Captain Godfrey Booysen was recognised and awarded for excellence in service, outstanding performance, and dedication in his duties at spiritual services.

Warrant Officer Eva Mathunyane, a social worker, was recognised and awarded for exemplary service, exceptional and unwavering dedication to the EHW component, as well as her contribution to the marketing of social work services and EHW through her involvement in the Mrs South Africa pageant.

The pair services all the central police stations under the leadership of Ekurhuleni district commissioner Major General Anna Sithole.

The event took place at Eikenhof’s Lido Hotel and was hosted by the SAPS Gauteng EHW provincial head Colonel Vidiya Govender.

“EWH members testify to the different career opportunities within the SAPS. Members are encouraged to take note of the achievements positively and as motivation to excel,” said Brakpan SAPS communications officer Constable Audrey Buthelezi.
