A Dalpark woman was ambushed by robbers while seated in her car last Thursday evening.
The incident took place at the victim’s home along Wordsworth Street just after 20:00.
According to police information, the victim was watching the opening of parliament on a mobile device, when a man appeared next to her vehicle and threatened her with a gun.
The gunman was then joined by one or more accomplices.
The victim was told not to scream and was forced out of the vehicle and inside the house, where the robbers demanded her car keys and instructed her to sit on the floor.
They helped themselves to blankets, duvet covers, a TV, a cellphone and other valuables.
The robbers also took the victim’s vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux. A case of house robbery is under investigation.
