Call for nominations to serve as a member of the Brakpan Red Cross committee

The Brakpan branch of the South African Red Cross Society invites interested members of the community to serve as members of the local committee.
The society is one of the leading and well-known non-governmental organisations in South Africa and globally.
They pride themselves on continued commitment to render services to prevent and alleviate human suffering and to foster human dignity in all communities by addressing the basic needs of the people in accordance with the fundamental principles of the Red Cross.
The society strives to serve the community with excellence and addressing important issues in South Africa hence they are actively seeking passionate and dedicated individuals with the skills and expertise to join the committee.
Some key responsibilities and expectations of committee members are:
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to the South African Red Cross Society
• Support fundraising efforts and resource mobilisation
• Engage in advocacy and policy initiatives
• Ensure compliance with legal and governance requirements
• Participate actively in board meetings and committees
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organisation
Nominations will be open for 14 days, starting from September 17 to 30.
