Work starts to clean up Brenthurst park

Volunteers will return to complete the job.

Some cleanliness has been restored to a park in Brenthurst after it received some TLC on Saturday from the community clean-up group.

The park, near the Brenthurst Post Office, was identified as being in need of attention.

The group has cleaned several areas in Brakpan as part of their campaign to transform eyesore areas and restore pride to the town.

They are assisted by ordinary members of the public and other volunteers.

Organiser Mary-Anne Ravenscroft told the Brakpan Herald they will be returning to the park as there is a lot of ground to clear.

“We will continue cleaning the park as soon as we can schedule it again. From my side, thank you to the all sponsors for their support,” she said.

To get involved in the group’s future clean-up efforts, contact Ravenscroft on 071 047 4173.
