Guilt-free crispy chicken air-fried tenders

Cooking them in an air fryer will ensure that you don't feel guilty about indulging in these deliciously crispy chicken tenders.

These Vortex Air Fryer Chicken tenders are the winner, quick to make, crispy & tender and you can serve them with anything.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken (I used fillet)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Masala
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • Bread crumbs (use as required)
  • Italian Herbs
  • Red chilli powder
  • Oil for spraying
  • Spray and cook

Method

  1. Begin by marinating your chicken in the masala, lemon juice and olive oil. Set aside.
  2. Season your breadcrumbs with the Mixed herbs, salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp red chilli powder.
  3. Whisk your eggs and set aside along with flour and breadcrumbs
  4. Dip the chicken into the flour, then egg, and finally into the breadcrumbs. Set aside.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 196°C on air fry mode and wait until it says “add food”. Then spray on or brush both sides of the chicken with some oil. Lay the chicken into the air fryer, leaving some space between to prevent them from sticking to each other.
  6. When the air fryer says “turn food”, flip your chicken over to the other side and let it continue cooking.
  7. You can serve with hot sauce or spicy mayo. Crispy chicken tenders pair well with chips or salad and are also great inside wraps and as burgers.
