Maintenance work to affect water supply
Tsakani and parts of Brakpan and Springs to be affected.
Scheduled maintenance work by Rand Water will affect the Tsakani area for an extended period beyond 22:00 on August 13.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni, this is due to the topography of the area, which is high lying and takes time to accumulate enough water supply pressure.
Water supply to customers in Tsakani will be fully reinstated on August 18. The whole of Tsakani will be affected including Langaville, Geluksdal, Labore and Withok.
Two water tankers will be stationed at Pholosong Hospital.
Springs will be affected by the water supply interruption from 17:00 on August 11 to 22:00 on August 13.
Six roving water tankers will supply water to the affected areas:
