Bikers commemorate Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is the time to commemorate the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of civilians in times of war.

Thousands of bikers descended upon the Apex Military Base in Dalview on Sunday in honour of Remembrance Day.

The Poppy Day Bike Run and Military Parade was hosted by Hells Angels Joburg and included a wreath-laying ceremony and a static military display. There was also plenty of good food, beverages and music on offer.
Remembrance Day is observed on November 11 to recall the end of World War One and commemorates the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of civilians in times of war. The major hostilities of this war formally ended in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
