Weekend crime round-up

A car parked along Boundary Road was broken into and the radio was stolen.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A man was robbed of a lawnmower and weed eater at gunpoint.

The man was walking home with the garden machinery along Northdene Avenue at 4.30pm when a white Corsa bakkie pulled up beside him.

A gunman alighted the vehicle and demanded the lawnmower and weed eater.

The man was forced into the vehicle and dropped off in Dalview.

The value of the stolen goods is R18 000.

* Wheel caps were stolen from a Mercedes-Benz parked at the Mall@Carnival.

* A car parked at an address along Queen Avenue was broken into and tools, a torch and other valuables were stolen.

* A business in Voortrekker Road was burgled of liquor and a computer screen.

A suspect was later arrested and some of the stolen items were recovered.

• Saturday – A Toyota Dyna truck was stolen from Brakpan Road.

* A car parked along Boundary Road was broken into and the radio was stolen.

• Sunday – A red and white Big Boy motorcycle was stolen from Recreation Way in Anzac.
