Two killed in two days
Two men were killed at the Magaleni Informal Settlement.
Two cases of murder are under investigation after two men were killed in two days at the Magaleni informal settlement along Hospital Road in Brakpan North.
According to information received, Brakpan police received a report of a shooting in the area on Sunday around 1.30am.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with a wound behind his left ear.
Two bullet cartridges were found next to the body, as well as a live round.
Witnesses told police the victim was chased by three men, who fled after shooting him.
An ambulance was called and paramedics declared the man dead on scene.

He has been identified and his body was taken to the Springs Mortuary.
On Monday, police were again called to the informal settlement at about 7.30am, where the body of another man was found.
The victim was lying face down on the ground and was wearing black and white tekkies, black tracksuit pants and a grey top.
A projectile was found next to the bloodied body and there were two bullet cartridges nearby.
Residents of the informal settlement were unable to identify the man and his body was taken to the Springs Mortuary.
It is not known whether the murders are linked.
