Car club races in to help babies and young women

The Just Wheels Vehicle and Tractor Club is a partner in the Brakpan4Brakpan (B4B) initiative where the club, Solidarity Helping Hand, Ed’s House of Light, Brakpan churches, AfriForum, the CPF and local ward councillors took hands, combined resources and are providing emergency relief via a single co-ordinated managed database.

Just Wheels collects and repacks fresh produce donations which are then transferred to the central facility where it is distributed by people with permits.

The club collects clothes that are managed and distributed by Solidarity Helping Hand from a central store.

Just Wheels also collect donations via the club’s bank account, and as part of the B4B initiative these donations are used to buy fresh produce in bulk, which is repacked and transferred to the B4B distribution network.

With the food and clothes chain running well the club decided to turn its attention to another crisis — the need for baby goods and feminine hygiene products for young women and girls.

Marietjie Landsberg from Just Wheels initiated and volunteered to run the Just Wheels Bambino project.

Just Wheels Bambino will be collecting all types of baby products.

Donations of baby formula, baby food, nappies, toiletries and clothes will be gratefully accepted, as well as feminine hygiene products such as sanitary pads and tampons.
