Mandela Day 2019: Carnival City plays host to food packing drive to help hungry children in need
Teams of volunteers rolled up their sleeves to pack food parcels.
Carnival City once again joined hands with Rise Against Hunger to pack meals for hungry children in underprivileged communities today (Wednesday) – July 18.
The food packing drive is part of a nationwide effort between Sun International and Rise Against Hunger to mark International Mandela Day.
Teams of volunteers rolled up their sleeves to pack food parcels at eight Sun International units, with the goal to pack 418 000 meals to feed over 59 000 pre-school children for a year.
About 69 000 meals will be packed at Carnival City.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Sun International has supported this worthy cause.
In the past three years, Sun International has helped pack over 5-million meals at its properties with the help of volunteers from local businesses.
Video: Annemie Turk, general manager at Carnival City, was amongst the volunteers who packed meals for needy children to commemorate International Mandela Day.
