SPCA still in need of your support
The Brakpan SPCA AGM, which was open to members of the public, was held on Saturday.
Reports were presented that included annual statistics on the amount of animals handled by the SPCA, their financial status and complaints attended to, among other things.
A new committee was chosen which included Tania Wells, Marius Butler, Tania Abbotts and Anette Pieterse.
The head of the subcommittee is Bertram Venter.

The SPCA is currently seeking members to join the committee and subcommittees.

Current chairperson Sanette Bosman and vice-chairperson Dennis Young will be stepping down at the end of July and new office bearers will be chosen by the new committee.
The focus remains on the importance and responsibility of owners to have their pets sterilised as the only viable solution to the overpopulation epidemic of dogs and cats.
