According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (April 9 to 10):

Cases reported:

• Residential burglary: 4
• Theft: 2
• Fraud: 1
• Armed robbery: 1
• Assault GBH: 1
• Speeding: 1
• Reckless driving: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 2
• Possession of drugs: 1

Arrests:

• Speeding: 1

Armed robbery:

• A delivery vehicle was robbed of its cargo yesterday (Tuesday).

Two men confronted the driver around 10.15am as he was stopped along Kingsway Avenue.

They climbed into the vehicle and forced him to drive to Station Road, where a blue Toyota Avanza with two occupants was waiting for them.

The driver was forced to unlock the back door and the robbers unloaded the delivery parcels.

The robbers locked the driver inside the back of the vehicle and fled.

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue.

Two apartments in a block of flats were burgled on Monday.

Stolen: A laptop, a handbag, cellphones, a schoolbag, a pair of reading spectacles, groceries, a gaming console and cash.

• Hamilton Avenue.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Two TVs and a microwave.

• Bobstay Road, Dalpark Extension One.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A TV.
