According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (December 10 to 11):

Cases reported:

• Common assault: 2
• Armed robbery: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 2
• Shoplifting: 1
• Possession of stolen goods: 1
• Sexual assault: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Theft: 2
• Residential burglary: 1
• Fraud: 1
• Common robbery: 1

Arrests:

• Assault GBH: 2
• Assault and contravening court order: 1
• Armed robbery: 2
• Warrant of arrest: 1
• Shoplifting: 2
• Possession of stolen goods: 1
• Attempted theft: 1
• Speeding: 4

Armed robbery:

• A cyclist was robbed of his cellphone and bicycle by two gunman yesterday (Monday).

The incident took place along Ergo Road near Sallies Village around 9.50am.

Two suspects were later arrested.

Common robbery:

• A man was robbed in the parking lot of Mall@Carnival on Saturday.

The victim told police he was overpowered by two men at about 8pm, who ran off with his wristwatch.

Burglary:

• Elliot Street, Anzac.

The break-in took place on Sunday.

Stolen: A gas bottle, step ladder and braai stand.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A silver Mazda 2 was stolen from an address along Escombe Avenue yesterday.
