Champions collide at State Mines

The top young golfers in the Ekurhuleni region battled it out on the Brakpan course to determine who the ultimate age group champions are for the year.

All the winners from Sunday’s Champion of Champions Tournament at State Mines are, back: Siyabonga Magubane (B-Division, best net 74 points), Reinhardt Uys (u-13, best gross 78 points), Kagiso Makwe (B-Division, best gross 78 points), Saul Moss (A-Division, best net 73 points), Warwick Purchase (A-Division, best gross 69 points), Ryan van Velzen (A-Division, runner-up, gross 71 points). Front: Walter Green (u-13 runner-up, 82 points), Gustav Viljoen (u-13, best net 70 points), Darius Jansen (C-Division winner, 39 points), Corné Jansen (B-Division, runner-up, 79 points), Kiera Floyd (girls’ u-19, best gross 69 points), Kyra van Kan (runner-up, gross 78 points) and Stephen Malherbe (junior vice-captain of Eastern Nomads).

Ekurhuleni Junior Golf held the Nomads 2018 Champion of Champions Tournament at State Mines Country Club on November 4.
