Armed robbery

• A woman was robbed of her jewellery by two men along Gardiner Avenue at around 10am on Tuesday.

The robbers, one of whom was armed with a knife, confronted the victim and ordered her to hand over her wristwatch and rings.

• Two suspected robbers were apprehended by community members in Leachville yesterday (Wednesday) and handed over to police.

The pair are believed to have robbed a group of young women at knifepoint along Tigerwoord Avenue at about 2.30pm.

Three cellphones were recovered and two knives were seized.

Burglary:

• Jim Vining Street, Minnebron.

The break-in took place on Monday.

Stolen: Tools. A car on the property was also stripped of its wheels.

• Libertas Road, Sonneveld.

The home was broken into on Tuesday.

Stolen: A gaming console and laptop.

• Cutter Road, Dalpark.

The home was burgled on Tuesday.

Stolen: Jewellery.

• Hastings Avenue.

The break-in occurred yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, DVD player, cellphones and other household items.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A silver Volkswagen Polo was stolen from an address along Devon Avenue in Dalview on Monday.

• On Tuesday, a vehicle  was stolen from Wordsworth Street in Dalpark. No further information was provided.

• A silver Toyota Tazz was stolen from Germains Avenue on Tuesday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• Cash was stolen from a car parked at the corner of Park Street and Kitzinger Avenue on Tuesday.

• On Friday, two batteries were stolen from a truck parked at Mall@Carnival.
