New SPCA centre to bolster pet care
These services are offered at reduced costs and are aimed at individuals who cannot afford a private veterinarian.
The Brakpan SPCA recently opened the doors to its new animal healthcare centre.
The centre, situated on the society’s premises in Witpoort, provides a quality environment for primary animal healthcare and will enable the SPCA to render impeccable service to the public and the animals they keep.

The services provided are as follows:
• Vaccinations (dog and cat).
• Deworming (dog and cat).
• Microchipping (dog and cat).
• General health check-ups.
• Nutritional advice.
• General advice with regards to keeping small animals.
• Euthanasia.
These services are offered at reduced costs and are aimed at individuals who cannot afford a private veterinarian.
It is important to note that the Brakpan SPCA does not have a veterinarian in its employ and as such cannot dispense medication and other related treatments specifically reserved for veterinary surgeons.
The society offers these services in terms of its capacity as an animal welfare organisation and not as a private veterinary practice.
