Law enforcers join forces for roadblock

A police roadblock brought traffic to a standstill along the N17 highway in Brakpan on Friday.

The operation was a combined effort of the Ekurhuleni Central Cluster, Gauteng Flying Squad, Public Order Police and Gauteng Traffic Police.

Searches were conducted on 509 people and 301 vehicles. One illegal immigrant was arrested and 18 fines were issued. Boxes of sim cards were among the items seized.
