House robbery:

• A lone robber assaulted a woman in her Victoria Avenue home yesterday (Tuesday).

The victim was awakened by the sound of her dog barking at around 10.30am and got up to investigate.

She found the man in the house and confronted him.

He struck her through the face and threatened her with a screwdriver.

The robber fled with a TV.

Burglary:

• Derby Avenue.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: Liquor, a DVD player and other valuables.

• Hosking Street, Brenthurst.

The residence was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: Two laptops and jewellery.

• Neutron Avenue, Vulcania (business).

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, tools and a battery (type not specified).

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• On Monday, a toolbox and ladder were stolen from a vehicle parked along Evans Street in Brenthurst.

• A hand radio was stolen from a car parked at the Sherwood Shopping Centre yesterday.
