An inquest docket has been opened by Brakpan police after the burnt body of a man was found in a veld near Carnival City on Saturday.
According to Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the local SAPS, the body was discovered at around 5.30pm.
“The deceased, estimated to be in his late 40s, was found on his knees,” she said.
“His clothes melted on his body and wire was found wrapped around his waist.”
