One of South Africa’s best-loved bands, Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels will perform old and new material spanning their more than 20 years in music.

Best known for their renditions of Eddy Grant’s Give Me Hope Jo’Anna and I Don’t Want to Dance in the early nineties, Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels released three albums in the 90s, the last of which was The Best of The Rasta Rebels featuring one previously unreleased song, “I Love To Truck.”

The 2000s have seen the band releasing numerous award-winning releases, including Sunshine Daze in 2003, which won the SAMA for Best Dance Album, and If You Wanna Be Happy which shot to the top of the charts within the first few weeks of its release.

The band is headed up by the multiple SAMA-winning Dr Vic (Victor Khojane) who has crafted and created the band’s uplifting and up-tempo sound.

He has released several solo albums Stress, Faya, New Flame, For Your Love and his most recent album, I Believe in Love. There is no cost to enjoy their show at Bru’s.
