The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (November 30 to December 1):

Hijacking:

• A woman was robbed of her white Audi A4 by two hijackers in Leachville last night (Thursday).

The woman and her husband were leaving a relative’s house in Graskop Avenue at about 10pm when they noticed a car driving down the street.

The grey Ford Fiesta suddenly stopped and two armed men climbed out.

They ran towards the couple with their guns drawn.

The woman ran away, taking cover behind a fence.

She then heard the Audi driving away.

Her husband and brother-in-law were forced into the car by the hijackers and dropped off in Katlehong.

Business robbery:

• A company in Springs Road, Witpoort Estates, was robbed by a group of 10 armed men yesterday.

The robbers gained access to the premises at about 10.45am and demanded cash.

One victim was assaulted, while others were tied up and searched.

In addition to cash and cellphones, the robbers also took a black Chevrolet (model not provided).

Burglary:

• Kingsway Avenue.

The garage on the property was broken into on Sunday.

Stolen: A gas bottle, a two-wheel trolley and some tools.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A red Volkswagen Golf was stolen from an address along De Kock Street in Vulcania yesterday.

It was recovered in Katlehong.

• A blue Jeep was stolen from Queen Avenue yesterday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• On Wednesday, a battery and car manual were stolen from a vehicle parked along Waterval Road in Leachville.

• Tyres and rims were stolen from a car parked at an address along Mynhardt Avenue in Minnebron on Wednesday.
