House robbery:

• A 14-year-old boy was held at gunpoint in his Brenthurst home yesterday (Thursday).

Hijacking:

• A Minnebron resident was hijacked in the driveway of his home last night.

The victim arrived at his Mynhardt Avenue residence at around 8pm and was opening the garage door when four men armed with guns entered the yard.

They threatened to kill him if he made any sound and dragged him to his vehicle – a silver grey Isuzu double cab bakkie.

The men forced the victim into the bakkie and drove off with him.

They again threatened to kill him and demanded cash, telling him they know he has money.

The bakkie came to a stop a short while later and the vehicle’s tracking device was disconnected.

The victim was then dropped off an at undisclosed location.

A cellphone, pair of sunglasses, bank cards, documents and a jacket were inside the bakkie.

Common robbery:

• A pedestrian was robbed of his laptop along Gardiner Avenue on Tuesday.

The victim was walking home at about 3.45pm when two men grabbed his backpack.

A struggle ensued and the victim was assaulted.

The robbers fled with the backpack, which contained a laptop, wallet and other valuables.

• A delivery driver was robbed of his cargo by two hitchhikers yesterday.

The victim, who was en route to Benoni, picked up the pair in Boksburg at around noon.

While driving along Elsburg Road, past Carnival City, the pair instructed the driver to stop and unload the parcels.

He did not see if the men were armed, but was fearful and did as he was told.

The victim unloaded the parcels – the contents of which have not been disclosed – and left.

Police later arrested one suspect.

Burglary:

• Germains Avenue.

The home was burgled on Wednesday.

Stolen: A TV, laptop, iPad and a pair of tekkies.

• Buxton Avenue, in Dalview.

The break-in was discovered yesterday.

Stolen: A TV.

• McCullum Avenue, in Brakpan North.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: The culprit/s packed a TV and some clothes into bags, but left these behind. No other details were provided.

• Voortrekker Road (business).

The break-in took place this morning (Friday).

Stolen: Copper cable, a pair of shoes, a compressor and a jacket.

Two suspects were arrested on the scene.

Attempted business burglary:

• No details pertaining to this incident were received.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• A car parked at an address along Eeufees Avenue in Dalview was broken into on Tuesday.

Two laptops and a tablet were stolen.
