Visitors to the October instalment of the Carnival City Market on Sunday, October 1, can look forward to even more stalls and exhibits of handcrafted goods, clothing, artisanal drinks and other products.

For the second edition of the market, there is a special surprise – well-loved artist Ricus Nel and his band will be performing.

The market, which takes place at the outdoor Pocket Park, opens at 10am and entrance is free.

Nel has enjoyed tremendous success on the music scene with albums such as Sak en Pak, Sout Van Die Aarde, Ricus Nel sing Don Williams en ander country legends and Ouskool Boerseun.

His latest album, Ricus Nel bring hulde aan Worsie Visser, is jam-packed with catchy songs like Boesmanland, Gee die hond wind, Lekker ou Jan, Wikkel daai boude, Strandfontein, Gansbaai and Brannewyn laat my staan.

A family-styled affair, the Carnival Market will feature entertainment for children such as bungee jumping, pony rides and a clown.

The Pocket Park itself boasts colourful climbing frames, a simulated Grand Prix circuit, free ski-rink, a selection of rides in the theme park and carnival stalls where youngsters can take a stab at winning prizes.

Individuals and businesses keen to showcase their products at the market can email info@mycarnivalmarket.com for more information.
