The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 2 to 3):

Cases reported:

• Residential burglary: 4
• Theft: 3
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 2
• Reckless driving: 1
• Possession of stolen motor vehicle: 1
• Common assault: 1
• Assault GBH: 1
• Attempted theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Attempted housebreaking and theft: 1
• Fraud: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of drugs: 1
• Possession of stolen motor vehicle: 1
• Theft: 3

Burglary:

• While four cases were reported (see above), details pertaining to only three of the cases were provided  by police.

• Fifeshire Road, in Brenthurst.

The home was burgled yesterday (Wednesday).

Stolen: A TV.

• Fish Street, in Sallies Village.

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: A laptop, power tools, a gas bottle and gardening equipment.

• Kiepersol Crescent, in Dalpark Extension Six.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: Clothes, shoes and household items.

Attempted housebreaking and theft:

• No details were provided.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• No details were provided.

Attempted theft of motor vehicle:

• An attempt was made to steal a white Toyota Tazz from the Sherwood Shopping Centre, between 9am  and 10am, yesterday.

The car’s door locks were damaged and the centre console removed.
