Dagga plants uprooted in Location Road settlement

The confiscated dagga has an estimated street value of R60 000.

Hundreds of dagga plants were uprooted and removed during a crime prevention operation in the informal settlement near Location Road, this morning (Friday).

The operation was conducted by members of the EMPD, and followed a visit to the site earlier this week by ward councillor for the area, Brandon  Pretorius.

According to an official on the scene, the confiscated dagga has an estimated street value of R60 000.

No arrests were made.
