A Brakpan Women United in Prayer meeting will be held at the Assembly of God Fellowship, 114 Germains Street. The meeting will start at 2.30pm. This is an interdenominational women’s prayer group. For more information, contact Lynne van Wyk (082 356 1331).

5 Februarie

Piet Smit, Afrikaanse gospel sanger, tree op by NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, geleë op die hoek van Boundary- en Lappingweg. Die vertoning vind om 9vm plaas. Toegang is gratis en slegs vrywillige bydraes sal opgeneem word. Vir meer inligting, kontak Patricia Kruger (072 753 0540).

February 6 – March 13

LifeLine Ekurhuleni will host a personal growth course, starting on February 6. The course will take place at the corner of Russel Street and Mowbray Avenue, Benoni. Hospice East Rand will host a charity golf day at the Royal Oak Country Club. Tee off is at noon and the prize-giving and dinner at 6.30pm. * The Brakpan Homecrafts Society meets every first Tuesday of the month, in the St Peter’s Anglican Church hall, at 10am. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Jane Donker (011 915 2539).

* A Narcotics Anonymous meeting for people who have a problem with drugs, or think they may have a problem with drugs, is held every Tuesday, at 7.30pm, at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 74 Queen Avenue.

* The Just Wheels Car Club hosts an open day at the clubhouse, every last Sunday of the month. The club is situated at 169 Kitzinger Avenue, Dalview.
