Rain puts a damper on fire stunt

Schoeman and De Kock will return to Carnival City early next year to complete the stunts.

Rain put the brakes on a fire stunt scheduled to take place on Saturday, last week, at Carnival City.

The event would have seen South Africa’s two oldest stuntmen and World Record holders, Enrico Schoeman (60) and André de Kock (62), perform fire stunts for a good cause.

The day was not a complete loss, however, as spectators still enjoyed live entertainment and a display of Gold Rand Harley’s latest Harley-Davidsons.IMG_7055 (Large)

There was also a display of motorcycles belonging to members of Harley-Davidson clubs.

Schoeman and De Kock will return to Carnival City early next year to complete the stunts.

Spectators can expect to see Schoeman set alight, after which he will ride a motorbike through a fire tunnel.

Then, De Kock will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.

These two daredevils are the current Guinness World Record holders for riding a motorbike through a tunnel of fire.

The event is in aid of Cansa and all the money raised will be donated to the organisation.
