Victim escapes after rapist falls asleep

He pushed her down near a trench of water and instructed her to remove her clothes, telling her,: "I want to teach you a lesson."

A woman was repeatedly raped after being abducted and forced to spend the night with her attacker.

The woman, whose age was not provided by Brakpan police, was walking along Goods Road, on her way home from work, at about 8pm on Friday evening, last week, when the man grabbed her.

When she asked what he was doing, the man, who was wearing a red T-shirt and dark trousers, told her: “Don’t ask me that silly question,” and struck her on the face.

He pushed her down near a trench of water and instructed her to remove her clothes, telling her,: “I want to teach you a lesson.”

The man forcefully removed her clothes and raped her.

He then told the woman to leave her clothes behind and took her to an informal settlement near Location Street, in Brakpan North.

He led her to a shack, where he assaulted her again – punching her in the face – and then raped her.

He raped the woman twice more throughout the night.

The victim escaped from the shack at about 5am the following morning, when the man was asleep.

She dressed in her attacker’s clothes and sought help at the police station.

The SAPS are investigating.
