’n Kermis vind plaas by die Eric Holdtman Dienssentrum, op die hoek van Voortrekkerweg en Wandererstraat, vanaf 9vm. Daar sal verskeie stalletjies wees, asook sangers. Vir meer inligting, kontak vir Hannie Jacobs (071 673 2806).

Die Tutela Gesinsorg Brakpan se jaarlikse ontbyt vind vanaf 9vm by die NG Kerk, Dalpark-gemeente, te Boekenhoutstraat, plaas. Kaartjies is beskikbaar by die Tutela kantoor, of skakel vir Emmie Combrinck by 083 235 7897, of vir ds Robert Geyser by 083 776 8378.

‘n Fondsinsameling, aangebied deur Man of God finalis Dirk van der Westhuizen, word gehou by die Live Arts Little Theatre (LALT), geleë in Boksburg. Leroux van Vuuren, 2014 Koekedoor deelnemer, is die gaspreker en sal ook ‘n kook demonstrasie lewer. Kaartjies kan bespreek word by www.lalt.co.za.

A mini market will be held at the NG Kerk, Brakpan East, at the corner of Boundary and Lapping streets. The market will be open from 9am until 5pm. For more information contact Alison Booysen (084 991 1132).

A morning market will be held at the Alan Woodrow Park Retirement Village, located in Rangeview Road, Dalpark, from 9am. For more information contact Margaret Ward (011 915-5517).

The St Dunstan’s Festival will take place from 3pm to 11pm at St Dunstan’s College, 54 Millburn Street, Benoni. Gangs of Ballet, TiMO ODV, DJ Fresh and many more will perform during the day. A Family Carnival Day and a Charity Fun Walk will take place at Brakpan Primary. Registration for the fun walk will open at 7am and the Carnival Day will start at 8am. There will be food stalls, toys, novelties, sports and rides. For more information contact the school on 011 740 0900.

June 5

Tenor Phiwe Makaula will perform Bel Canto songs and arias, with Marion Pillay on piano, at the NG Kerk Dalpark. The event will start at noon. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information contact Makaula on 078 092 2739.

The Brakpan Homecrafts Society meets every first Tuesday of the month, at the St Peter’s Anglican Church hall, at 10am. New members are welcome. For more information contact Jane Donker (011 915- 2539).

A Narcotics Anonymous meeting for people who have a problem with drugs, or think they might have a problem with drugs, is held every Tuesday, at 7.30pm, at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church, at 74 Queen Avenue.

The East Rand Amateur Radio Club meets every Thursday, at 7pm, at its clubhouse, along Ebenezer Street, Arrowe Park. For more information contact Paul Connel (083 627 3576).

Saturday

The Just Wheels Car Club will host an open day at the clubhouse, every last Sunday of the month. The club is situated at 169 Kitzinger Avenue, Dalview.
