Woman begs robbers to spare her elderly husband’s life

The woman begged the robbers not to kill her husband and they demanded money in exchange for his life.

A Dalpark Extension Five woman found herself at the mercy of two violent robbers, who threatened to kill her 86-year-old husband if she didn’t cooperate.

The woman (55) and her family were robbed in their Suurklapper Avenue home on Friday morning, last week.

According to information received from Brakpan police, the woman was in her bedroom at 5.45am when she heard a noise.

She opened her bedroom door and saw her daughter (27) with two men.

One of the men was wearing a balaclava and was armed with a black gun.

The armed man was using the gun to push the young woman towards her mother.

The robber pointed the gun at the woman and demanded to know where her husband was.

The pair then searched the house and found the elderly man in another room, where they threatened to shoot him.

The woman begged the robbers not to kill her husband and they demanded money in exchange for his life.

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, a television set, two laptops, four cellphones, an e-reader and the family’s white Chevrolet Spark.

A case of house robbery has been opened.
