Thieves target the Brakpan SPCA

Thieves targeted the Brakpan SPCA during the early hours of Friday morning, causing lots of damage to the offices situated along Denne Road.

SPCA inspector, Tamaryn Lombard, reportedly received a call on Friday morning around 3am, advising her that the SPCA office had been broken into.

“Tamaryn contacted the Brakpan Radio Group who accompanied her to the premises while Secure Tech and the Brakpan SAPS were waiting on the scene,” said SPCA manager, Ming Church.

“Luckily nothing was stolen, but damage has been done which the SPCA can ill afford,” added Ming.

The fencing, burglar bars, security door and alarm system were damaged.
