East Rand Wedding Show now on at Emperors Palace

Following the launch of the biggest wedding expo in the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg last year, Emperors Palace will host the second East Rand Wedding Show, which will take place today and tomorrow in the Centre Court.

The event is an intimate boutique wedding show that will offer bridal couples over 140 expert suppliers, all under one roof. Visitors will be able to tap into multiple resources to find the magical inspiration, creative design, splendour and sophistication they need to make their wedding day dreams a reality.

The show, together with its sponsors, will give away over R2.3 million worth of prizes and two lucky couples will win a dream wedding valued at over R150 000 (per wedding). The wedding prize includes the venue, food, décor, photography, bride’s gown, groom’s suit, invitations, wedding cake, favours and more! In addition, loads of prizes and vouchers will be up for grabs during the wedding show and the first 5 000 show goers will each receive a R400 hairdressing gift voucher.

“Brides and grooms will have a wonderful time and there will be lots of giveaways and special offers,” said Laura Hanc, Managing Director for the East Rand Wedding Show.

“Additionally two very lucky couples will walk away with the ultimate Win a Wedding prize. We couldn’t be more excited about this year’s show.”

This year’s show will also join forces with Cake Extreme to create a first-of-its-kind wedding cake in South Africa. Brides and grooms-to-be are invited to take ‘selfies’ with the wedding cake topper, atop a 3m high wedding cake. Couples are encouraged to purchase a raffle ticket to the value of R50 before taking their ‘Wedding Cake Topper Selfie’, as proceeds will be donated to Pink Drive in support of breast cancer awareness. The couple who wins the lucky draw will win a dream wedding cake valued at R9 500.

The Centre Court doors will open at 9am and the entrance fee includes a complimentary magazine and full day access to fashion shows and demonstrations.
